I have decided to and to see more what it is all about first hand. I am thinking it should have some sort of
entertainment value with the extremists that will be there on both sides.

Will they be serving herbal tea?
I am particularly fond of slippery elm and dandelion root teas.

As you can notice from the time. We returned early from the Tea Party. I must say all I can do is scratch my head and think WTF??? I have always been a die hard Republican but am now so shocked at what I saw. WOW!!! Will have to sleep on this one. I really now understand why Democrats think the way they do. |

You should have posted this with more notice. I heard it on the radio. Were there many people there? The first one had quite a few people, but the Sam Houston
parking lot? There must have been a lot of people.

I have always been a die hard Republican but am now so shocked at what I saw. I would be curious to know what you saw and what your impression was. If you were offended as a republican, then that's a good thing in my book. Personally, I tend to think that tea party organizers are setting themselves up for defeat in the long run by allowing people such as Kevin Brady, Joe Pags and the like to attend or speak at these events. Especially since they are alleging non-partisanship. Stick to the governmental insolvency and Constitutional erosion themes and leave God and abortion out of it.

Ok. I slept on it. Loved Joe Pags. He even played the sax. Loved the Spring HS ROTC!!! Great job. Loved most of the message that was said. I felt VERY Patriotic. Proud to be an American for sure. The part that had my light bulb come on. How do I say this and not offend others. Well not sure so I will tell it like I saw it. I often here from my Democrat friends the stereo types of Republicans. "gun toting, racist, red necks". I must admit I did see A LOT of that. For example… very few blacks in attendances but they some how found a black preacher who spoke a large percentage of the time. He was an excellent speaker by the way, however; many left after a good 15 minutes into his sermon. It was not that they left that bothered me but the comments some of them made while leaving. The N word was said often.
Will this experience change my conservative views? NO. I am just thankful to have been able to see everything with an open mind and now see why some make fun of Republicans. I had never seen that side of Republicans ever. I was not raised that way and surely have not raised my son that way.
I guess my bottom line is… I now see why so many Democrats call Republicans Racist. I only hope that they know not all Republicans are that way.

It's not that republicans are racists. At least I don't see them that way. But some of the Republican ideology does attract that lower element of human
being.
Some people who, lets say, lack a better understanding of being human confuse conservative with white superiority. It's sad, really. The Republican ideology is not my cup of tea, but they have some VERY good points when it comes to fiscal responsibility and government involvement. If only they would practice what they preach and leave out the nut cases. That's not to say that Democrats and Libertarians don;t have their share of nutcases. They most certainly do. But I guess I just agree more with those nutcases than the ones who seem to think that being white was gift from God almighty. |

It was a free event...right? What do you expect?
I was at an event once at a park down in Houston and you know what? Someone called someone else a nigger. I was so shocked that I nearly started crying inside. I mean, how in this day and age can a person use a word to draw negative inferences on someone else? It was horrible. Of course, I just knew that this person was a democrat since historically speaking, Southern Democrats have been the largest purveyors of what the left calls "racism." They also seem to be the ones who are so infatuated with race and all things black. I think its weird and sick, but hey...that's what white guilt will do to a susceptible person. I just wish that that crazy republican Abe Lincoln could have been there. Certainly he would have known what to say. I myself just chose to carry on, albeit slightly deader inside as my world had just been rocked along with my faith in humanity.

Parrott.. I found out about from P yesterday afternoon. He heard about it on 950. There is supposed to be another event Saturday thinking about going to it. I
am not going to let a few bad apples get me down. The speakers were all great. I will tell you more when we see you.
Mike I agree. There are nutcases in all shapes, forms, religions and politics. Neut..Yes it was free. So I guess I got what I paid for. They can't control who shows up. |

Pro… I am certainly not saying that everyone there was a gun totter or a racist. I fully support a persons
right to bear arms but don't agree with racism. Maybe you misunderstood what I meant. My point was that after
seeing some of the bad apples there, I could understand why some Democrats get that impression of Republicans. As a life long Republican I never understood why
they thought that way until I saw it first hand at the Tea Party.

I heard people saying the N word as they were leaving during the black preacher's sermon. The way I raised people don't use that word to be friendly. Has it not yet occurred to you that certain parties use the word "racist" in the same way that certain other parties use the word nigger? Think about it. What is a nigger and what is a racist? That's the beauty of it. They can get away with calling you a racist without any consequences, but if you call a black person a nigger, its no way Jerome even though the essence of the epithets is the same. That is why you don't hear much about mestizo "racists" or oriental "racists." It isn't that bigots among those groups don't exist, it is just that the context and social machinery in the works is designed to be used against Anglos, with particular attention to Anglo men. It is just another tool in the word arsenal of collectivism. Nigger- originally an ignorant and arguably subservient person of ethnically African origin. Etymology: Alteration of dialectal neger, black person, from French nègre, from Spanish negro ; see Negro. It is otherwise basically just a derogatory variation on the term black. Racist- a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others. Hatred or intolerance of another race or other races. One description of racist hardly ever applies in context to the allegations, while the other is of questionable merits at best. What exactly IS IT about other races that leads to such hatred or intolerance? Is it certain dominant cultural propensities? Is it genetic traits? And what is tolerance? Why is it so all-important exactly?

It is just another tool in the word arsenal of collectivism. This just goes to show that not only do you not know a damn thing about what you're saying, it also shows how full of crap everything else you post is. There is plenty of racism in Asian countries and Latin American countries. Of course, an insularist like yourself who has not been anywhere outside of the US would have no idea about it because in your little world there is the white American male and then there's everyone else. So until you actually go somewhere and get educated, stop your cry baby crap about how the poor anglo is being oppressed by having the word "racist" pegged at him. YOU, as in you, Neut are a racist dolt who is so involved in his own fantasy of superiority, both intellectually and culturally, that you fail to comprehend even the most basic of arguments regarding hatred. To you, everyone is "out to get you". Well, listen up, Nancy... No one is out to get you as white American male. Not a soul. If anyone has called you racist it's because YOU, the individual, are one. You get it now or are just too deep in your illness to understand even this? And another thing... you keep using the word "mestizo" as if you had a clue what it means. LOL! Guess what? You're a mestizo too. There is no pure race blood anywhere in the world anymore. So for all your "I am the white man personified" you are just like everyone else. A mixed breed. Your problem is that you are so damn confused about yourself that it's probably easier for you to point out what's wrong with others instead of dealing with your own dirty closet. How does the song go? "You're nearly a laugh but you're really a cry"

What is it about you people and the apparent inability to parse information? Its almost like a pandemic learning disability among the left.
Texashappyhorn~ Don't allow the democrat propagandists to frame the debate with doublethink and hobgoblins like "racism" and "hate." Just because a couple of rednecks make a bigoted comment or two doesn't lend any more credence to their accusations. I am sure that by now you have probably realized that taking the bait merely leaves you wasting your time, energy and in the worst case scenario, apologizing for something you aren't even guilty of. Sadly, we've allowed too many of our kids to be indoctrinated with this crap for far too long. That is also part of what the movement is about- rejecting the socialist indoctrination that has been growing like a fungus since the 60's. The fact that you didn't see very many black people there just goes to show how much work there is to do.

I have said all I care to say about this. Now I must put my thoughts into my family Thanksgiving dinner. If anyone feels the need to continue with me. I will
be at Landry's for the weekly get together. I am the short female with blonde hair and blue eyes.
